Given for granted that, except in exceptional cases, one is or is not a cheater by nature, new scientific research published in the Royal Society has shown that men and women without knowing it can assess the likelihood of men’s infidelity simply by looking at a picture of them.

Research
A group of 1,500 people of Caucasian descent were asked to look at photos of 189 Caucasian adults , 100 men, 89 women.
They were then asked to rate whether the person in the photo had been unfaithful in past relationships. The researchers then examined the accuracy of their responses.
The study described the results as follows:
We found an unanticipated accuracy in male judgments of probable infidelity given by the same sex, so men on men but not men on women.
At the same time, women were found to be more accurate at detecting infidelity when analyzing men, less good when there were other women in the scenario.
In summary, both men and women showed above-average accuracy in recognizing possible acts of infidelity, but only for the faces of men and not women.
In other words, both men and women can, at a glance, tell how likely a man is to cheat.
How to recognize the face of a serial cheater
The researchers went on to say that participants focused on facial masculinity to judge the infidelity of the men in the photo.
According to the researchers, facial masculinity is an Established signal indicating propensity to adopt short-term mating strategies.
In other words, men with very pronounced features are more likely to be considered unfaithful.
And they are too: these same men had in fact reported being cheaters.
But what kind of male features were considered in the research? Thick eyebrows, a well-marked jaw, and thin lips.
However, the researchers stressed that the results are modest and based on too small a sample of people.
So, dear women, if your man possesses all the masculinity requirements analyzed here, don’t panic: follow your instincts but don’t base your decisions solely on his facial features.
